DDS Associates, LLP, where Dr. Flinn practices, is home to an in-office dental laboratory. Instead of sending crowns, veneers and other restorations to an outside facility, the DDS Associates, LLP lab technicians create them on-site. It’s not only faster, the in-office lab allows Dr. Flinn to work closely with the technicians to control the shade, shape and fit of each restoration.

Crowns
A crown covers the entire surface of a damaged tooth that cannot be treated with a filling or other restoration, like an inlay or onlay [Link to: “inlays & onlays” below]. Dr. Flinn works with the lab technicians in the DDS Associates office to create beautiful crowns that match the size, shape and color of your existing teeth for a natural-looking, high-quality result. With the CEREC system, crowns can be precisely fabricated in a single visit, with the finest materials. Dr. Flinn will discuss all your options for crowns, explain his recommendations and guide you in choosing the best option for your needs.

Inlays and onlays
Inlays and onlays are excellent for conserving your natural teeth, while repairing cracks, large cavities and other damage, with a cosmetically pleasing result. Dr. Flinn works with our highly trained technicians to create a restoration that fits precisely and matches the look of your teeth.

Root canal therapy
A root canal can save an infected tooth, and thanks to the sedation options available with Dr. Flinn, it does not have to be a painful, dreaded experience. If you have an abscess on your gums, a tooth that is highly sensitive to hot or cold, or severe tooth pain, a root canal may be advised.

Dr. Flinn performs root canal therapy, which involves carefully cleaning out the inside of the infected tooth and tooth root, then sealing it to prevent future infection. The treated tooth will require a crown to protect the root and restore the shape and function of the tooth. Often, the crown can be created on the same visit, with our in-office dental lab and CEREC technology.

Fixed bridge
This nonremovable appliance replaces one or more missing teeth by attaching artificial teeth to crowns, which are placed on the “anchor teeth.” There are many options for creating dental bridges. The right solution for you will depend on your dental health needs and your desires. Dr. Flinn will explain your choices and help you decide on the best treatment for you. Our in-office laboratory will create precise, natural looking crowns and your bridge, under Dr. Flinn’s direction. You’ll receive a temporary bridge while your permanent bridge is fabricated, and soon you’ll be smiling with confidence, knowing your teeth look as good as they feel.

Dentures & partial dentures
Dr. Flinn creates dentures and partials to complement your features and fit comfortably. As a sedation dentist and experienced dental surgeon, Dr. Flinn can care for you through all stages of getting your new dentures, including removing your existing teeth, with your comfort and well-being in mind.
